our story,

oxbow came to existence out of my 30 year long chef career. I was a executive chef for about a decade in Oregon. The vegetarian locally grown movement was in full swing in the years I lived there. Market shopping for all of your food is a common thing there. I got my fish at the fish market, veggies at the produce market and so on.

So a few years ago I thought why not try to grow the produce that chef's would like to use to make there food stand out against the rest. I found a piece of land and so it began.

We have had some good years and some bad years with a lot of learning curve we have become a little more stable. So i feel like this is the year to move into full time production and be able to offer our food to more restaurants, farmers markets and will deliver to you direct.

We aim to provide a quality fresh produce specializing in heirloom varieties. we try to grow as many different crops of varieties that you might not find at every other stand at the farmers market.

For my restaurants and chef's this is the stuff that they can't buy from the normal supplier. We are willing to try to anything that you would want to have specifically for your kitchen. there are lots of veggies that you can't just go buy off the shelf like okra for example and many of the greens that we grow.

We also will have cut stem flowers available for special occasions or just to have in a vase on the table.
